The half mile loop trail on the mainland of Hammocks Beach State Park offers huge opportunities to witness the natural world. This hike will be led by two rangers one of whom is a trained forester and is an expert on trees and plants. The other is proficient in animal tracking and is a land mammal enthusiast. There will be plenty of learning opportunities along the way! Wear sturdy comfortable shoes, bring water and anything else you need to be outdoors in June in Eastern NC.
